TYPE OF EVENT:
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) recognises the pivotal role young people play in their health and wellbeing. Through empowerment, purposeful engagement and inclusiveness, we continue to engage young people as partners in their healthcare. To celebrate and promote Youth Week the WSLHD Youth Council is hosting a stall in Westmead Hospital near the University Clinics on Tuesday 16 April between 10.00am and 2.00pm. The stall will have interactive games and activities, information on Youth Health and representatives from the WSLHD Youth Council, Sydney Children’s Hospital Network Youth Advisory Council and local western Sydney youth-friendly services. Youth Week began as a NSW Government initiative in 1989 and has since grown to be a celebration of young people in every state and territory across the country. It is organised by young people, for young people. We hope to see you there to celebrate the young people of today!
